Practice Manager (onsite) - B Street Health Center, Lewiston, Maine

We are seeking Full Time Practice Manager to join our amazing team of professionals!

Position Summary:

Responsible for management of operational, administrative and clinical components of medical services at B Street Health Center. Administers, plans, coordinates, organizes, directs, evaluates and controls resources (personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities and dollars), and processes (methods, procedures, policies and systems) toward the attainment of program and organizational goals and objectives and the optimum provision of services. Collaborates with the Operations Director and the Medical Director as a multi-disciplinary team to best plan, organize, and direct services in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, healthcare or related field is preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in related medical services setting is preferred

  • Proven experience in organizational and management skills, with experience in using independent discretion/decision making

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving

  • Ability to value and respect diversity and similarities among all people, understand and effectively respond to cultural differences, engage in cultural self-assessment, make adaptions to the delivery of services as needed

  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy

Finance Director (on site preferred, hybrid option possibility) - Administrative Offices

This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with strong accounting fundamentals, experience with accrual-based accounting, nonprofit and grants expertise, and experience in community health or FQHC environments.

Position Summary:

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, grants management, and compliance. This position works closely with the CEO, Board Finance Committee, and external partners to ensure accurate financial information, fiscal accountability, and informed decision-making.

The Director of Finance plays a key role in strengthening CCS’s financial infrastructure and supporting the organization’s transition toward long-term financial stability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Leadership & Accounting

  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Grants & Nonprofit Financial Management

  • FQHC & Healthcare Finance (Preferred)

  • Board & Leadership Support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles

  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

  • Experience managing grants and restricted funds

  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a nonprofit healthcare setting

  • FQHC experience, including cost reports and Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement

  • Experience working with Boards and Finance Committees

  • Familiarity with healthcare EHR/financial systems and revenue cycle concepts
